Executive Meeting (March 2019)

Minutes

Attending: Bill F, Nairn H, Rupert R, Carolyn H, Irene T, Kazlyn B (on conference call)

Meeting called to order at 7:21PM.

Our new Treasurer, Kazlyn Bonnor was introduced to the executive.

April General Meeting – have members Barry Denluck, Stan Reist and Heinz Kaemmerer speak to the members their ways of battling the mite problem in the hive.

Beginner’s Corner – Don Lambert – Testing bees for mites. Sugar shake, alcohol wash and meshed bottom board. (It would beneficial to have a field day to show the members actually the methods being down in the bee yard.

May General Meeting – Inventions and Contraptions

Swarm Committee – Carolyn Hissen has volunteered to redo the map on the members’ location of their beeyards. A link to BC Agriculture website for the members to register the location of their beeyards.

Shirley Richardson has volunteered to contact members to see what the hive loses were this year.

Day of the Honeybee – May 29th

Iotron Trip – Members to deliver their hive packages to Alanna house on April 3rd and the truck will return from the Iotron on April 4th.

Time will be determined by which ferry the returning truck will catch.

Meeting adjourned at 8:05PM.
