Bill called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.
A quorum was met.
Annual General Meeting
Current dues to stay at $32.00.
Outyard fees (only 80 hives to go to the outyards) – signs will need replacing and some wire may need
work.
A motion was made to raise the outyard fees to $8.00 per hive was made by Kazlyn Bonner, seconded by Don Lambert. Motion carried.
Outyard draw for spaces – names to be submitted in March and confirmation will be made in April.
Notices to be given to participants to have their hives treated for mites prior to going to the outyards.
Election at the AGM
Iotron trip will be March 5, 2020 (Thursday) Bill Hadden and Don Lambert will be the drivers. A motion was made to have Don Lambert purchase “dolly wheels” to make loading the equipment onto the truck easier to go to the Iotron, up to $200.00 was made by Nairn Hollott, seconded by Irene Tiampo. Motion carried.
A motion was made to subsidize the trip to the Iotron in the amount of $500.00 for the truck rental, gas and travel costs was made by Bill Fosdick, seconded by Don Lambert. Motion carried.
Year-end Audit and review – the club will need 2 members to review the financial books. Rupert Rode has volunteered to help.
February Meeting – Dave MacDonald – The South Island Provincial bee inspector will be the guest speaker.
Bill has been approached by someone to do a hands-on demonstration for producing bee products. Each member would participate in this session.
New Beekeeper program is under control.
March meeting to blitz the members to do their due diligence in mite control.
