Introduction to Beekeeping

Join us at the garden to learn the basics of beekeeping from our resident beekeeper Barry.

You will learn the importance of bees, what they do for our environment, what swarms are and the basics of keeping a bee box and collecting honey. There will be honey from our bee boxes to enjoy!

After the event we will be having a tour of the Community garden and our weekly work-party from 5:30 – 7. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY & SNACKS PROVIDED!

About the Facilitator:
Barry is an accredited Bee Master and BCHPA certified instructor of Beginner’s Beekeeping.
