YOU’RE INVITED TO HONEY BEE AWARENESS DAY
Sunday, May 28th, 12pm to 5pm at Tugwell Creek Honey Farm & Meadery
8750 West Coast Road, Sooke
Enjoy a family-friendly day to celebrate the humble honeybee and all pollinators:
- Free educational bee tours every hour on the hour.
- Come see the queen and her colony behind glass.
- Guess how many bees and win a prize!
- Bee Face Painting, by donation
- Learn how you can help honeybees
- Beekeepers will be on hand to talk about bees and ecology.
- Explore our Economusee Museum exhibit.
- Raffle for a bottle of Vintage Mead from our personal cellar
Leave with a list of plants you can grow to help pollinators. A portion of all proceeds for the day will go to the David Suzuki Foundation – Bees and Butterfly Campaign to help save bees.
