
The Capital Regional Beekeepers Association (CRBA) meets on the second Thursday of every month.
This meeting usually starts with a beginners/intermediate beekeeper corner 30 minutes before the regular club proceedings start around 7pm.

Welcome!
- “Out of the Hat” – asking for suggestions from members on agenda items for future meetings. Bill provided paper & pen to jot down ideas. Leave in the hat!
- Zoom linkage for Club Meetings – looking for multiple volunteers to do the Zoom linkage for 1-3 meetings a year. Email Bill Cavers to volunteer.
- Frame Jig – club has procured 3 frame jigs for rent to club members. Price will be posted on the website soon!
- Outyards – members take their hive to the outyards to give opportunity for bees to forage for wildflowers & fireweed. Please be sure to inspect for mites/disease before bringing hives to the outyards. Detailed directions are provided each year to each participant that signs up.
- Club Policy document updates – Personal Information and Privacy Policy has been circulated to the membership for review & feedback. No changes requested. Motion to accept the Personal Information and Privacy Policy as circulated – Moved by Larry L, seconded by Cindy P, all in favor, motion accepted.
- Bee sting venom therapy enquiry – Bill C. shared the enquiry with everyone in attendance. If you are interested in providing bees for this request, contact Bill C. for contact information.

- Add supers or swarm fever will start
- Don’t overcrowd
- Get extractor equipment ready
- Check on the queens performance regularly
- May want to extract spring honey
- Think about ordering honey containers
- Plan for move to outyards
- Plan for honey sales at local fairs
- Keep up on mite & disease checks mites must be under control by August 20th to ensure winter bees are strong & ready for winter
- August 10th event – Beaver Lake picnic site, starts at 6:30 pm. Cake & refreshments will be served to mark the 75th Anniversary of the CRBA
