Attending: Carolyn H, Barry D, Rupert R, Tara B, Nairn H and Irene T

Carolyn Hissen called the meeting to order at 7:09 PM.

Quorum was not made.

Rupert R asked when the new rates for the membership would take effect. Members signing up now will be charged $2.00 more for 2019.

October Meeting will have Linda Weech speaking on the pygmy beekeepers in the Congo. There will be a $100.00 honorarium. Her presentation will be approximately 25 minutes and then questions.

BCHPA – AGM – Barry Denluck spoke that they have sold a gold sponsor and one bronze sponsor this week. Urban Bees may take the ninth table. There are now 170 members/vendors/ speakers for the weekend. Honey judging course is now full. Discussion on the banquet is being held this week, should be $65. The table flower arrangements will be auctioned off after the banquet. Barry has enough volunteers but no-one will be refused if they wish volunteer.

Carolyn will contact Bob Liptrot for more mead for the guest speakers.

Library – Bob Lucy informed Carolyn that some books have not been returned. The library needs more advertising at the meetings.

November Meeting – meet and greet – appies and desserts.
