• Outyards
  • 3 boxes w/ dead batteries. Need deep cycle batteries, quoted price $600 for all 3. The three solar panels are working, and need to do grass maintenance.
  • Recommendation: to purchase 3 new deep cell batteries for approx. $600. Walt & Cathy will purchase.
  • Outyard spots – currently have 75 members requesting a spot, Will is going to send confirmation emails to those who have applied. Total of 90 spots available.
• Membership cards
  • All members have received their membership cards. (one card per paying membership). Buckerfields has already seen some member purchases. Both Travis (Buckerfields) and Pat Peach (Cowichan Bees) have been provided memberships as “paid in kind” for supporting the club.
• Steriogenics
  • Rinah is working on the application. Working with Alanna on putting together a budget. Club has been in existence since 1973. A draft will be shared with the Exec for feedback.
• July 14 next Club Mtg
  • Rosemary, discussion on willows – main meeting
  • Collecting a swarm and where to put them (Carolyn) – main meeting
  • How to handle aggressive bees – new bee keepers
• July 19 next Exec Mtg
• Small Group Mtgs – Bill will send an email out to the leaders to see about re-starting the small group
• August meeting – hold outside the Saanich building, ice cream, etc, prep for Saanich Fair
• September meeting – winners of the fair, prep for winter
• Bill is away August & September; need to plan the monthly meetings and find a chair for the meeting.
