Bill called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. A quorum was met.
Bill has invited Iain Glass to speak to the members on his topic “Adaptive Beekeeping for Changing Times”. This will be an hour presentation. Bill F will see about transportation to Victoria (Harbour Air). Irene T will see about accommodation in Victoria (Union Club).
Emphasis will be on feeding the hive, controlling humidity, ventilating, location of hive for the winter and protection from the wind.
Awarding the ribbons from the Saanich and Sooke Fairs.

Executive are setting up a map of different areas to have members in that area able to see and have those who would like to meet as smaller groups sign up in their area. Barry D volunteered to be the point for the View Royal area.
Wendi Gilson has brought it to the attention of the executive, if members are selling bees, they must have the hive inspected and receive a permit to sell the bees from the Provincial bee inspector in their area.
Barry D and Bill F toured the Union Club facilities and the Magnolia Hotel next to the Union Club. Barry D has one quote for the venue and hotel and now is going to get a second quote from the Laurel Point Hotel.
Werner G will speak to the beekeeper that has issues with the club members being up at the Outyards.
Tara B is now having members sign up to have field days at their beeyards.
