Bill F called the meeting to order at 7:11pm.

Bill spent $200 for the rental of the church hall on Saturday, January 13th to host the IPM meeting that was put on by Wendi Gilsten. 20 members attended.
February Meeting will have Paul Peterson speaking on the “life cycle of the mite”. He may demonstrate another version of the oxalic vapourizer.
What’s in bloom with Nairn speaking about what to plant in the garden for the bees.
Carolyn H mentioned that the club could buy in bulk products from “Dancing Bees”. We need to see whether the membership would want this. Carolyn will make an order sheet.
Theme for the February meeting is equipment.
The March meeting is the Annual General Meeting.
Barry D informed the meeting that he now has his core 5 to help with the BCHPA’s Annual General Meeting in October, 2017:
Iotron Run will be in early March – Alanna Morbin will co-ordinate.
Seedy Saturday – Bob Lucy – February 17th, 2018
Barry Denluck brought up the concept that a commercial beekeeper should not be on the executive. He suggests that if the income of beekeeping products is more than 50% of the beekeepers income then the beekeeper should not be on the executive. Could be looked upon as a conflict of interest.
Meeting adjourned 8:33pm.
