February 12, 2024

Mtg called to order:  7:04 pm

• Planning for the AGM/election process:
  • Heather is working on the draft budget for the upcoming year
  • Member at large will be contacted to review the budget as is required, potentially Rupert Rode
  • 1st Vice President position, current term is up. If no new volunteers, Don Lambert is willing to stand
  • Secretary position, current term is up. If no new volunteers, Cindy Parker is willing to stand
  • If Cindy moves into the Secretary position, one Director at Large position will need to be filled
  • Victoria will hand out the ‘voting sticks’ as members arrive.
• Sterigenics update
  • No new information to raise, all communications have been sent to the members
  • Forms due to Alanna Morbin by Feb. 18th
  • Drop off/pick up dates & times still tbd
  • 3 volunteers have stepped forward, thank you!
• March Club Mtg agenda

• Annual CRBA Insurance renewal
  • Certificate of Liability Insurance for the club, with covers meetings & events
  • Directors & Officers Liability insurance
  • Motion to approve the payment of up to $1,000.00 for the Annual CRBA Club insurance, moved by Bill Caver, second Bill Hadden, approved by all.
• Online Beekeeping Course – Paul Van Westendorp
  • Next course starts February 24th, 2024
  • In order to register for the beekeeping course, you email Paul Van Westendorp (paul.vanwestendorp@gov.bc.ca) or Julie Hughes (mariejulie.hughes@gov.bc.ca). They will send a confirmation email, and then the registration instructions a week before the course starts.
