• Bill began the meeting @ 7:10pm
• Approx 39 people at April meeting.
• Who needs to be in the loop?
  • Titled Executive plus Directors at Large Compose “Executive” form one email group.
  • Committee Chairs is a 2nd email group.
  • Small Group coordinators are 3rd.
  • Mentors and Equipment Coordinators are 4th and 5th.
  • Put last 3 groups behind the “curtain.”
  • Need to match the email group to the names in the given section on the website (so we know who will receive the email that is sent to a given group.)
  • Website needs to be updated.
  • Action: Nicole to match the names to the titles and get Werner to update the webpage and email lists.\
• Agenda for May Meeting
  • Is there an out of town personality that could join our meeting?
  • Queen breeders – BC bred?
  • Speakers from BC Honey Producer’s meeting? https://bchpaconference.ca
  • Swarms? 2nd year problem?
  • New Beekeeper topic from Spreadsheet?
  • Honey authentication project update? Peter Awram. Simon to track down.
  • Wayward Distillery? Rinah to contact.
  • Put some feelers out and regroup in a week or 2 for an agenda.
  • There was a Sooke Chef that put out a cookbook with honey. Carolyn to contact
• Small Groups
  • 12 person meeting for Saanich was done mid March.
  • Oak Bay/Gordon Head coming in April.
  • Need to check with Werner on Metchosin.
• Central Saanich Depot
  • Kim Miles not keeping bees this year.
  • Cindy to check for new person for this role in next Saanich small group meeting.
• Getting numbers to meeting up…
  • Around 40 people seem to attend.

  • Include calendar reminder attachment to Beeline.
  • Easy access to call info.
  • Put meeting link right at top of Beeline.
  • If the email header included “Zoom link to May Meeting” or something along those lines it would be easier to find.
• Saanich Fair
  • Looks like it is going ahead (don’t know what it is going to look like.)
  • Need to put committee together for that. Hoping Kazlyn and Victoria could co-chair the group.
  • Treasurer transition is going ok for Rinah. Paypal needs to be sorted out.
• Iotron
  • Did the club equipment same day. Carolyn’s equipment wasn’t done overnight.
  • Sterigenics bought Iotron. Management has changed. May need 5 to 7 days in future.
  • We might need some sort of pick up and delivery service in the future.
  • Will need a plan for next year. Is government funding available? Carolyn to coordinate with Alanna.
