I am writing to advise you that our next meeting, Thursday March 12th, will be our Annual General Meeting, and there will be opportunities for you to run for a position on the club Executive. This is our current Exec:
- President: Bill Cavers, 1 year remaining in term
- Past President: Bill Fosdick, never to be released until Bill C steps down
- 1st Vice-President: UP FOR ELECTION (Incumbent Don Lambert willing to run again)
- 2nd Vice-President: Bill Hadden, 1 year remaining in term
- Treasurer: Katrina Jones, 1 year remaining in term
- Secretary: UP FOR ELECTION Cindy Parker stepping down (Mark Polle, currently Director-at-Large, willing to stand for election)
- AV Manager: Amanda Johnson, 1 year remaining in term
- Membership Secretary: UP FOR ELECTION, Mary Quayle stepping down
- Outyards Manager: UP FOR ELECTION, Incumbent Janet Fontaine willing to stay on
- Swarms Manager: UP FOR ELECTION, Cristina Dimarzio stepping down
- Saanich Fair Manager: Mary Quayle, 2 years remaining in term

I strongly encourage you to consider getting involved. It is NOT onerous, gives you a voice in the club organization, and – it’s a lot of fun!
I am also giving notice here that the cost of taking hives to our Outyards will be going up to $15 per hive this year. We have had higher costs with refurbishing the outyard equipment and setting up the Sandcut outyard. Also, with forest growth reducing the fireweed area we will be needing to decommission some of the J, A, M outyards and build another alternate yard.
