General Meeting (March 2020)

The Capital Regional Beekeepers Association (CRBA) meets on the second Thursday of every month.

This meeting usually starts with a beginners/intermediate beekeeper corner 30 minutes before the regular club proceedings start around 7pm.

Bill Fosdick call the Annual General Meeting to order at 7:20 PM.

Quorum was met. 41 members signed for voting sticks.

Bill introduced the Current Executives and Directors. He reminded the attendees that all active members as of March 12, 2020 are allowed to vote and should hold a voting stick. For the purposes of motions to be passed, a majority of 75% is required. For the purposes of elections of executive or director, the “first past the post” method will be used.

Presentation of the agenda for the Annual General Meeting of the CRBA.
Motion: I move to accept the agenda for the AGM of the CRBA was made by Paul Petersen, seconded by Jean Ray. Motion carried.

Acceptance of the minutes from the March 14, 2019 AGM was made by Bob Liptrot, seconded by Kate Fraser. Motion carried.

Presentation of the Annual Report of the CRBA was made by Bill Fosdick.
A motion to accept the Annual Report as read was made by Ericka Hermann, seconded by Rupert Rode. Motion carried.

Presentation of the Annual Financial Statements was made by Kazlyn Bonner.
A motion to accept the Annual Financial Statements as presented was made by Ericka Hermann, seconded by Bob Lucy. Motion carried.

Presentation of the proposed Annual Budget for 2020 was made by Kazlyn Bonner.
A motion to accept the proposed Annual Budget for 2020 was made by Carolyn Hissen, seconded by Barry Denluck. Motion carried.

Election of CRBA Executive:
President – 2 year term – from March, 2020 to March, 2022
Nominee: Bill Fosdick
Nominations from the floor was asked. There were no nominations from the floor.
Bill Fosdick was acclaimed president.

Secretary – 2 year term – from March, 2020 to March, 2022
