Minutes

Meeting start 7:03 pm
- Zoom update – Amanda has completed some research and shared that using an iPhone 11 or newer has the technology for good quality recording. To proceed with this option we would need to purchase a
decent lapel mic & tripod stand w/ iPhone holder. The group agreed this looks like our best option.- Motion – to proceed with the purchase of a lapel mic & tripod up to a maximum of $350.00. Motioned by Mary, all in favor.
- Action item: Bill C. and Amanda will look at purchase options.
- Club meetings, use of the hall. It was suggested that the new bee keepers corner should relocate to the main floor. This will save the movement of equipment & reduce the set up time. The group agreed to
make the change for the next few meetings, if any issue arise we can revert to using the lower level. - Extractor, donated to the CRBA – Pat has generously donated a manual, 6 deep/12 medium frame extractor to the club. The club currently has 4 extractors that members can rent. It was suggested that
we may want to consider auctioning this extractor of as a fundraiser.- Action item: Bill C. will discuss with Pat before a final decision is made.
- General Ledger – Heather shared that the large Excel document is very challenging to use, and is hoping there is a way to simplify it. Part of the challenge is that payments made to our account come with no
information as to what they are for, creating a fair bit of detective/guesswork when recording in the ledger.- Action item: Heather will connect with Werner on whether Pay Pal could be used to collect more detail on the payment.
- Action item: Mary & Heather will collaborate and work on the best way to record the information without requiring hours of effort.
- Action item: Mary to contact Rupert Rhode & Rinah Kline for the history on the ledger.
- November – annual social. Everyone agreed to continue with the tradition of keeping the November meeting as a social event.
- Motion – to purchase supplies & treats for the social event to a maximum of $200.00. Motioned by Bill C, all in favor.
