Executive Meeting (July 2018)

Minutes

Attending: Nairn H, Carolyn H, Rupert R, Kim H, Irene T, Bill F and Barry D.

• Bill called the meeting to order at 7:10pm.
• BCHPA Conference – Barry D
  Trade show offering is going out. Maximum of 12 tables. A second room has been added with 50 seats. Union Club has a built in sound system and a large screen. There is a need for a projector. Bill F will emcee the dinner.
• Survey questions:
  • What part of the club are most important you?
  • What would you like to see more of?
  • What would you like to see less of?
  • Are there speakers or activities you would like to see in the meeting?
  • Are we involving you as much as you would like?
  • More hands on projects.

  Executive split the membership list to make personal contact to ask the above questions.

• August Agenda – EFB characteristics and treatment – Bob Liptrot
• September Agenda – Bee Nutrition – Paul van Westendorp
  Bill F will be away and Don L and Carolyn H will chair the meeting.
• Sale of outyard tags. This event was over sold – another yard has been made available.
• Alanna M would like to book the Iotron April 4th , 2019
• Ted Leischner will be given a honorarium for the travel expenses in the amount of $100.00
• Carolyn H will be back on track for making up the small groups.
• Ian Glass has sent in a proposal for education and equipment. He is looking for clubs helping with $1500 from each club.
• Bob Thompson – Irene will let Bob know that the bee/honey section of the Saanich Fair will participate in the passport.
