Meeting start: 7:05 pm

• Club’s 75th Anniversary; what can we do to celebrate? Explore having a BBQ & cake/ice cream at the August meeting held at Beaver Lake.
  Action item: Cindy will enquire as to any additional permits/food safe.
• Swarm Committee – Cindy and Victoria; Peter Day has expressed that he wants to continue as the committee organizer. All volunteers who emailed their contact info & level of ability have been recorded, with the list provided to Peter.
  Action item: Bill C will ask Peter for the phone/collection process, which will be provided to the members. Bill C. will also ask Peter to attend May meeting to speak to the members.
  Action item: Bill C will ask Bill F about insurance for the swarm volunteers, what is covered?
• Intermediates’ Corner – at the April club meeting an informal discussion was held. Bill F. lead the discussion, went well. Paul will take the lead at the May club meeting.
• Small Groups; we have leaders for 4 of the 5 small groups. The small groups should plan to meet one time during the months of June, July and August. The current leaders are listed below, and they will reach out to members in their area to organize dates. The club is still looking for a leader for the Gordon Head/Saanich areas.

• Reimbursement for missing equipment; 2 lost medium boxes w frames in Sterigenics trip went missing, member is requesting reimbursement to replace equipment.
  Move to reimburse Janet Fontaine up to a maximum $153 for the replacement purchase of equipment missing from Sterigenics trip. Moved by Cindy, seconded by Mary, all approved.
• Information Sharing Policy, does the club have one?; The Societies Act requires the club to have Privacy Officer and Privacy Policy.
  Action item: Bill F will draft a Privacy Policy
• Club support for the Semaniv Family; several members have expressed support in providing swarms from this summer being donated to the Semaniv family, recently arrived from the Ukraine. The Semaniv’s have equipment ready to accept bees.
  Action item: Bill C. will contact the Semaniv’s and arrange for a few boxes to be stored in town for the swarm season.
• Coffee and Cookies for monthly meetings; Cathy T. will be the lead, and when not attending Victoria will cover.
  Action item: Cathy will ask the Community Centre and ask about a storage cupboard for the coffee, tea, other small supplies.

• Provincial Online Registration; all bee keepers are required to register online, which will include inputting the property PID (Property Identifier with Land Titles).
  How do I find my PID number in BC?
  Step 1: Go to https://www.bcassessment.ca
  Step 2: Enter the civic address in the search bar.
  Step 3: Once the civic address match is found, the bottom of the web page will automatically refresh and display the property details. The PID is listed in the right column under Legal Description and Parcel ID.
  Action item: Bill C will create a communication to send out to members to update on the additional information required when registering
• Saanich Earth Day Festival, Saturday, April 22, 11am – 3pm, 770 Vernon Avenue. Don will be setting up a CRBA booth, Cindy will assist. The booth will be informational, with some honey available to purchase.
  Action item: Victoria will look in the Saanich Fair storage for sandwich boards or signage that could be used for the festival.
